Our client, a prestigious 5-star hotel in Abu Dhabi, UAE, is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Human Resources to lead its Human Resources function and support the hotel’s people, culture, and service excellence objectives.

The successful candidate will oversee the full HR function, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee engagement, learning and development, performance management, talent development, succession planning, and HR policies and procedures. The role will also play a key part in strengthening service culture, developing effective learning strategies, supporting leadership development, and ensuring alignment with luxury hospitality standards.

Previous experience as a Director of Human Resources or in a senior HR leadership position within a 5-star or luxury hotel in the UAE is essential. Experience in hotel training, Learning & Development, talent development, service excellence, and pre-opening environments will be highly valued. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, strategic thinking, communication, and people-management skills, with the ability to build high-performing teams and foster a positive, service-driven hotel culture.

Basic Salary: AED 22,500

Bonus: Yearly

Housing: Provided

Transportation Allowance: Provided 

Contract Duration:  2 years (Renewable)

Vacation Entitlement:  22 Working days

Working hours:  10.5 Hours daily 

Weekends/Days off:  2 days per week

Vacation Ticket:  Yearly

Candidate Requirements:

Lead and oversee the Human Resources function to support the hotel’s people strategy, operational excellence, and service culture.

1. Develop and implement HR strategies covering talent acquisition, onboarding, employee engagement, learning and development, performance management, and talent retention.
2. Partner closely with all hotel departments and senior leadership to ensure effective workforce planning, employee relations, and alignment with business objectives.
3. Lead, coach, and develop the HR team while establishing strong learning, training, and leadership development initiatives.
4. Drive service excellence through effective onboarding, training strategies, employee engagement, and continuous development of hotel colleagues.
5. Support talent development, succession planning, career progression, and performance management while fostering a positive and high-performing workplace culture.
6. Ensure full compliance with UAE labour regulations, hotel policies, HR standards, and all applicable health, safety, and operational requirements.
